And theres this.....

Vols to announce new DC

4:55PM ET

Tennessee Volunteers

Earlier in the week, it was believed Tennessee's Derek Dooley was holding a press conference to introduce former Miami head coach Randy Shannon as the Volunteers' new defensive coordinator. The report of such an occurrence was premature, but it appears to have been accurate.

"Sources within UT athletics confirm that Tennessee is 'finalizing contract negotiations with Randy Shannon,'" FootballScoop.com reported. "(The) Plan is to announce on Monday. Sources close to Shannon tell us 'security for Randy' is the primary item still being negotiated."

Shannon will replace Justin Wilcox who was named Washington's defensive coordinator Monday.
