Prediction, he will run with it, and be a 3 1/3 year starter.

Me either, but I suspect not for the same reason as you. I think he keeps the job this season and next. After that, we may recruit over him. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong and be a great one- but I just think that if that were the case, he would've seized the job already. I'm rooting for him- he seems like a really bright kid, and a great representative for UT.

Oh I'm rooting for him and I suspect he keeps the job for this season. I just don't think he keeps it next year. I've I posted before I am more optimistic with him at the helm (It'll be better with a Helm on the field next year)

Who do you think takes the job next year? Ferguson?

Dobbs can run, so that puts the option into the read-option. I think that will help the running game because Dobbs is at least a threat to run. Of course, how much of the offense he knows and can execute is something else. In other words, how well can he read the read-option? It's always something else with the Vols.

By all accounts, up until last week Ferguson was the first off the bench. For example, in the UGA game it was Ferguson warming up when Worley first injured his thumb. Despite CBJ's "Coaches decision" statement I think the leg injury was the reason Dobbs got the nod. Ferguson has the best arm and Bray like confidence in it. When we first got into the stadium Saturday I watched him launch a couple of 55 yard strikes (without pads) with just a normal stride. Both balls were dead online and could have held a months laundry on them. In warmups before the game it was interesting to watch Worley load up to launch a 45/50 yard pass and Ferguson just stride into the return pass.

Who knows what will happen? I know fans love to speculate, especially about the QB position, but it all comes down to how it plays out on the field, and we won't really know until we see it.
Looking forward to watching it....
