fans dislike Kiffin, I'll have to admit that I feel he is a much better coach than Dooley. I actually miss the swagger and confidence he brings to the table. I know it means nothing now but I still hated to lose the guy. I would even wager that he wins a MNC before he is through at USC. Does anyone see Dooley winning one anytime? Plus the coaching staff he (Kiffin) had around him makes the one Dooley has look weak. Any opinions

He may be a reprobate, but I think he's a great offensive mind.

I felt like he was a great coach when he was here, and I still think he's a great coach.

I also think he's a classless coach, an unethical coach, and I thought it was best that he left when he did. I defended the media's crucifixion of him over the secondary violations and Slive's fascination with him, but I was also tired of his act by the time he had been here a few months. (I remember taking some flak on here for posting that I was ready for him to be fired if his comments about Jeffery were correct.) I don't miss anything about him. And if it takes us a little longer to get back to the top, I'm fine with that if it means we do it the right way instead of the Kiffin way.

For whatever reason, Kiffin felt like he had to flap his guns and cheat in order to get ahead at Tennessee. I used to LOL at his claims that he was only doing it because he had to do it for recruiting purposes, but now I believe he truly believed that for some bizarre reason. So I'm not sure he'll wind up landing USC on major probation, but I'm quite certain he would've landed UT on major probation.

I think under Fulmer the Vols had infractions...tutorgate among others. I think it's naive to think any program that competes at the highest level doesn't have any skeletons or infractions. Its only when a program wins that the scrutiny is excellerated. If you cheat and lose folks don't raise as much stink. Just start winning

And I think it's naive to think that what Kiffin was doing at Tennessee wasn't out of the ordinary. But if all the sniffing around the NCAA did at UT after Kiffin's departure isn't enough to convince you, nothing probably will. Comparing Fulmer's NCAA infractions over 17 years with Kiffin's infractions over 14 months is nuts.

Kiffin is a turd..he had a lot more to work with when he got to USC than he left Dooley with...Will gladly take Dooley over that p.o.s

I also don't miss how Kiffin arranged for USC highlights to be shown in the football complex.  And how he tried to do away with the Maxims.  And how Hammy had to assign Blackburn to personally keep tabs on Kiffin.  No, I don't miss Kiffin one bit.

If he were here the past two seasons, we would be well on our way to major sanctions.

It's one thing to say stuff happens everywhere...it does, but probably moreso some places than others, but it does happen.

It's entirely another to put a huge white spotlight on yourself and say "Hey NCAA, over here.  Look at me!  I need attention!  I was dropped on my head as a child and I can't help myself!"
