QB:  Tyler was rusty and I don't care what he says the thumb bothered him, a lot.  It was nice to have a QB that, for the most part, has pocket awareness to move up and complete a play.  I'd say he was no better than 70% tonight bt it was good enough.  On the 1st pick, a good throw is a TD as Da'Rick had beat the coverage and the safety was way late getting over.  The 2nd pick was just a bad decision.

RB:  Poole still misses the hole, a LOT.  He got a 100 yards but left 50 on the field, easily.  He also is nowhere near the receiver that Lane is.  The pistol formation seemed to result in better timing between the RB and the OL, too bad Poole didn't take all the advantage he could have with it.

WR:  Da'Rick, other than an alignment error that forced a TO and a wrong route played very well.  Arnett wasn't a factor, as wasn't the TEs.  Dallas had a catch and was open more.  Neal ran a bad route on a well designed play (that Tyler executed well).  Zack made a catch in traffic.  Other than Da'Rick pretty pedestrian.

OL:  Probably their best game overall all year.  Fewer breakdowns, picked up blitzes better.  Opened holes in the runing game.  One bad snap ruined a drive.

DL:  Best game all year.  The DTs played very well.  In the first half got good pressure on the QB, and in the 4th quarter.

LB:  Not their best game but played well.  I'll say it again but if Lathers makes it back anywhere near what he was before he was hurt our start backers next year will be a strength.

DB:  Considering Randolph went out early played their best all year.  One bad burn, where the dirty play by the comodeoor line saved the day and Wilks got burned on a TD, otherwise good coverage most of the night and they were ball hawking  They had three picks and nearly had at least three others.

Special teams again arrived on the short bus.  Darr flat sucks at punting, as does Palardy in kicking.  Young has regressed on returns.  The only thing that the ST did well was kick/punt coverage.

Coaching:  On defense I thought the plan and adjustments worked well.  Wilcox was much more aggressive tonight.  We got burned on one zero cover (Wilks on a TD) but otherwise we put pressure on the offense tonight.  I'd like to see the stats but I bet the candy yards in the 2nd half were nowhere close to what they were in the 1st half.  tackling for the most part was far better than last week

On offense I thought we had a good plan, perhaps a bit gimmicky, and really made a commitment to the run.

Beat Ky (It's what we do) and we go bowling, which means several practices for the youngesters, especially those on the OL and secondary.  Do not underestimate the value of those extra practices.  Speaking of which, I'm a Wake fan next week.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

Go Demon Deacons!  But mostly...Go Vols!

One blog said we might be in Birmingham if we beat UK (cough...WHEN we beat UK  ).  I would definitely go, that's only an hour and a half.
