Helz to the ya, we put the chicken cocks in their rightful place. So happy that Spencer threw a pick six  , had mostly shizzlety stats and no TD passes. He did have a few nice runs, but that was about it. Hats off to Mr. Banks. He has been heavily criticized, which is appropriate given the lack of D we have seen, but this was a masterful game. I am definitely not sold on him yet, the SC OL is terrible, their left tackle got abused all night (per Tim Irwin on Vol Calls this am ), but let's face it, last year even a shizzlety O line would have kicked our ass. So I am very happy with the D this game (that one long run and a few Rattler scrambles being the exception), and hopeful that this is a trend and not just a sign of SC weakness.  |
