...our tailgates, and my brother (Be-the-Vol) asked that I post this picture of Dom with his mother pinning on his aviation wings when he graduated from Army UAV school at Fort Huachuca earlier this week.    Dom is now an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator (15W) and will be going to Fort Lewis, Washington.  Good job. soldier!

Hooah, Dom!

Fort Lewis is a long way out there, but just about everybody I have talked to who has been posted there loved it.

Happy for your nephew, and your entire family, TRO.

My son still doesn't know where he is going to be when Career School wraps up in mid-March at this point.  He turned in his list a couple of weeks ago, but in today's Army just don't know where you'll end up.

Again, congrats to Dom, and thanks for your service.

Congrats and good job Dom, domer and mom!

On a side note, how is the house doing?

Cool.

Heck, he might even have to come to Redstone at some point.  Lots of those UAVs flying around.  Most of Army aviation is in Huntsville, in fact.

OJ, my brother wanted me to share these house pictures with you.  The building process is going well and they can't wait to move in.

Question
What part of Crossville/Cumberland County is your brother building in.  My parents are up in that neck of the woods as well.

We're on a little over nine acres located between Crossville and Sparta (a few miles south of Highway 70).  I asked the folks here for some tips when we decided to build, and got several good ones.  If you could see the inside, you would see that we took the suggestions to heart.

We hope to be in the house in about a month (fingers crossed).

Lets hope he is not a part of the OQMP force reduction drawdown. The army is elimination 30K captains this year.

The AF in the post Desert Storm drawdown essentially wiped
1.5 year groups of Captains (90% in one year group) and the wondered what happened to their Majors a few years later.  It was good for the remnant Captains as they had near 100% promotion rate to Major and an unbelievably high rate to LTC.

We pass by both on the way to the house.  We're located off of Browntown road (about 4 miles from 70).  So far we're the only ones on the road - we hope it stays that way for a loooooooog time.
