On the Pruitt show he called Snell... Schnell. The catch by Callaway he described it as being "batted around in the endzone"....that ball belonged to Callaway from the time his hands touched it, it was never in doubt. He SUCKS!          

The backup injured his knee yesterday from what I've read.                 

I think he's a good coach, not great or elite. He's still a MAJOR #badword# so there's that working against him.             

He's definitely not averse to contact and we surely need help there, maybe he can play OL when he's not improving the LB core.                         

I just hope that the guys don't get so discouraged that they lose the rest of the season as an opportunity to grow and hone their skills. I figure Georgia is gonna make it very ugly, even without the advantage of 6 TOs.                        

              

The difference is we have a real coach. He's coached at every level and been successful at every level. He's coached on championship teams....he's just not been a head coach. I'm confident he's the right guy and the reason we've had "bad luck" is because we had bad coaches. We're gonna be fine BDV.....trust me.  :-)

I with LV...excited about having a real football coach who has gathered a great staff. I'm anxious to see players being developed and "taught" great football techniques. I think, barring injuries of course, we'll get at least one upset and go 7-5 but 6-6 will be an acceptable start for our new coaching staff.            

I expect a W against WV. Pruitt should be able to scheme WV's offense and their D sucked which should help our O. We will have all summer for Pruitt to study film and we will be healthy in game one having practiced the game plan for weeks. I think we run the ball and utilize safe passes to move the chains and keep WV on the sidelines. I have much faith in Pruitt and this staff, they all have excellent credentials unlike Butch's boys. We may succumb to injuries again and end up 5-7 but if not I think 7-5 with 6-6 the minimum.  GO VOLS

His completion % isn't good, TD to INT ratio is very good. Competition is always good, forces everyone to step up their game. I thought Jarret looked much better at the end of the season, it appeared to me that the thing hurting us most in the passing game was lack of protection and WRs not getting free. Hopefully Pruitt gets the line playing better where our QB isn't instantly under pressure and teaches our WRs how to get separation. I feel like this staff can, and will, coach the players to a high level of execution.                     

kids are not well coached and the game plan sucks then you are not going to win. I want to see kids developed and game plans that demonstrate that someone sat down and actually watched film on the weekly opponent and devised a plan to exploit their weaknesses and play to our strengths.                                    

Some pretty bad no-calls there and/or bad calls but I'm sure if you scrutinized the entire game you would end up with a collection of the same that were against Ga. I hate Bama and was hopeful Ga was going to win but once it's in the books it's over.                       

Bama makes up the schedules and provides them to the SEC for posting.            

Seems we had similar experiences. Ah the good old days with no responsibilities, no bills, no worries.....I had it good!                

I was pleased that his speech was devoid of cliche's like Butch used. Pruitt struck me as direct, sincere, enthusiastic and a man with a vision and knowledge of how to bring that vision to fruition. Based on the staff members he's brought on board thus far, I like what I see. We may have just signed a diamond in the rough....only time will tell.            

Appears to be headed in a positive direction IMO. Great news about retaining Gillespie!

he is a bad coach whose exceptional talent won in spite of him.              

All I needed to know was that he thought Schiano was the right hire, regardless of the Penn St. mess. He's not qualified and there were much better to be had. i hoped we'd throw everything at Mullens but evidently Currie the idiot thought "better". He has to go period or we will witness the death knell of UT football.           

OL.....we're loaded at that position with top notch talent!                              

Just a little dark humor. I'm wishing we would spend money to get a good coach and staff and we're sprucing up the stadium again to "enhance the fan experience"....you know what really enhances the fan's experience .....WINNING. I've sat through cold, rain, heat on those little 18" allotted metal benches and as long as we were winning or very competitive it didn't phase me.
