176  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: 340 million stadium renovation scheduled for next year. We'll have on: November 02, 2017, 09:03:04 EDT
Just a little dark humor. I'm wishing we would spend money to get a good coach and staff and we're sprucing up the stadium again to "enhance the fan experience"....you know what really enhances the fan's experience .....WINNING. I've sat through cold, rain, heat on those little 18" allotted metal benches and as long as we were winning or very competitive it didn't phase me.
177  Sports / VTTW Message Board / 340 million stadium renovation scheduled for next year. We'll have on: November 02, 2017, 06:57:21 EDT
the nicest, no where near capacity crowd, stadium in the SEC.
178  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: There is a 96% chance of rain Saturday night in Lexington.......... on: October 26, 2017, 08:44:29 EDT
With so many suspended I'm not sure it matters. We can't throw the ball and thought this was going to be a heavy run game and now our best RB is out. My gosh can it get any worse.

Maybe Butch can give them.....Win one for the Gipper speaches

Nah, Butch will reiterate to play "complimentary football".
179  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Here it is. The dumbest thing you'll read all year. on: October 17, 2017, 09:12:15 EDT
Kiffin is a large part of why we are where we are....this guy is insane.
180  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: We always give UGA all they want on: September 28, 2017, 09:13:24 EDT
I would be shocked based on the games Ga has played vs the games we've played. I'd need a MUCH larger sample to convince me that we're other than mediocre as a result of BJ's coaching decisions and system.
181  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: How hot does McElwain's seat get if UF loses in Lexington this week? on: September 20, 2017, 02:23:39 EDT
I"m taking UK, I think they put a hurting on the Gators.

get players and coaches that would provide him the tools needed to succeed before I judged too critically...well I think that time has come and I'm now convinced he's reached his ceiling. We need to begin searching NOW for our next coach so that we aren't once again forced to choose from the dregs after the year end coaching carousel has stopped. Our offense was pathetic, the execution was bad enough but the play calling was inexcusable.
183  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Gator offensive coaches on: September 14, 2017, 05:17:32 EDT
Maybe I'm listening to the optimists too much, but I'm starting to feel better about this game.

I'd feel better if our D had shown the ability to stop speed sweeps, or get pressure on a QB. I'm afraid that Mich's D is really good and Gators O will fare much better against us with little pressure on their QB and no penetration against the run. I hope it turns out that the Gators just suck!
184  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Game will be played at 3:30 EST in Gainsville as scheduled. on: September 12, 2017, 06:34:21 EDT
Can't imagine how the disruptions to gameweek preparations for UF can't be an advantage for us.  Though one could argue that the only 2 plays UF needs to practice offensively are jet sweep left and jet sweep right.

Ain't that the truth....I don't get it. I watched Jacksonville St. give Ga Tech a much greater challenge on the LOS that we did and then Indiana St. ??? I sure hope we're sandbagging for Florida, else we're in trouble through the remainder of the year.
185  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Trying very hard to find reasons for the defensive Charlie Foxtrot on: September 07, 2017, 07:32:44 EDT
I'm confident that the cut blocking had a huge impact. Watching the game over Ga Tech, to their credit, always had blockers out front and when we came in the first thing they had to deal with was a cut block and you'd see out guys get their hands out to push the blocker down and when they did the Tech guys took off right past the would be tackler. I'm holding judgement until we play a conventional O.
186  Sports / VTTW Message Board / I'm disappointed in the inability to control the LOS, but before I on: September 05, 2017, 07:21:37 EDT
completely get down on the D I want to see how we perform against a more traditional O....just not sure how much the flexbone impacted our play. I do know I rewatched the 2nd half this A.M. and the cut blocking kept guys from getting to the ball with lots of momentum because they had to be ready to use their hands to keep the diving blocker off of them.
187  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Wins on: August 31, 2017, 06:53:54 EDT
9-3 barring a rash of injuries.

AMEN. If they're so talented and creative then I want to see something original that warrants movie prices, else I'll continue to watch Fargo and the other creative shows being offered.

190  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Just wanted to say this before OT on: February 06, 2017, 03:04:03 EST
Yeah run it between the tackles 3x, eat up some clock and/or force the Pat's to burn a TO or two, kick the FG making it a two possession game with around 2 mins to play and it's an almost sure SB win for Atl....absolute choke job by Falcons coaches.
191  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: A couple days late, but I'd like to welcome you all... on: January 25, 2017, 04:05:22 EST
I used to really like them when Bartkowski, Andrews and others were there.
192  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Hurd to Cal??? on: January 22, 2017, 07:34:23 EST
Yep, completely irrational on his part. I could have seen him entering the draft but sitting a year to play one year is baffling.
193  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Breaking news... on: January 17, 2017, 02:18:13 EST
If true, I am disappointed that once again we will have made a head scratching decision. Fulmer is all Vol but him going R.O.A.D. is the reason we started down this path and he has zero qualifications or experience for the position. Blackburn was a rare opportunity to hire someone on the way up.

I can't find a good reason to dislike Dabo BUT the primary cause for not feeling bad is BAMA LOST!!!

198  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Dobbs projected in 6-7th round on: December 11, 2016, 01:38:43 EST
Yeah, not as a QB...he lacks the ability to read a D and determine the right receiver....TOO many times I've watched him throw to a double/triple teamed receiver only to notice a receiver on the opposite side, usually far down field, running wide open for a potential TD. His talent is his legs, if he can find a way to use them I could see it possibly.
199  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Question...if you could dump Butch and have Les take over....would you do it?* on: December 02, 2016, 05:10:22 EST
No, I never thought Les was a good coach, affable yes but not a good coach.
200  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Not as a QB he won't. He lacks the ability to on: November 21, 2016, 10:39:32 EST
read a defense in college and in the NFL the game speeds up exponentially. FAR too often he throws to a receiver who is double covered when guys are wide open on the other side of the field. His talent is his legs, I could see him attempting to make it as a WR but never as a QB, he barely completes over 50% in college. Josh is a fighter and gives 100% but he's just not a great QB, just like Tebow who I fell could have made it as FB or TE.
