Just a little dark humor. I'm wishing we would spend money to get a good coach and staff and we're sprucing up the stadium again to "enhance the fan experience"....you know what really enhances the fan's experience .....WINNING. I've sat through cold, rain, heat on those little 18" allotted metal benches and as long as we were winning or very competitive it didn't phase me.

I would be shocked based on the games Ga has played vs the games we've played. I'd need a MUCH larger sample to convince me that we're other than mediocre as a result of BJ's coaching decisions and system.

get players and coaches that would provide him the tools needed to succeed before I judged too critically...well I think that time has come and I'm now convinced he's reached his ceiling. We need to begin searching NOW for our next coach so that we aren't once again forced to choose from the dregs after the year end coaching carousel has stopped. Our offense was pathetic, the execution was bad enough but the play calling was inexcusable.

Maybe I'm listening to the optimists too much, but I'm starting to feel better about this game.
I'd feel better if our D had shown the ability to stop speed sweeps, or get pressure on a QB. I'm afraid that Mich's D is really good and Gators O will fare much better against us with little pressure on their QB and no penetration against the run. I hope it turns out that the Gators just suck!

Can't imagine how the disruptions to gameweek preparations for UF can't be an advantage for us. Though one could argue that the only 2 plays UF needs to practice offensively are jet sweep left and jet sweep right. Ain't that the truth....I don't get it. I watched Jacksonville St. give Ga Tech a much greater challenge on the LOS that we did and then Indiana St. ??? I sure hope we're sandbagging for Florida, else we're in trouble through the remainder of the year.

I'm confident that the cut blocking had a huge impact. Watching the game over Ga Tech, to their credit, always had blockers out front and when we came in the first thing they had to deal with was a cut block and you'd see out guys get their hands out to push the blocker down and when they did the Tech guys took off right past the would be tackler. I'm holding judgement until we play a conventional O.

completely get down on the D I want to see how we perform against a more traditional O....just not sure how much the flexbone impacted our play. I do know I rewatched the 2nd half this A.M. and the cut blocking kept guys from getting to the ball with lots of momentum because they had to be ready to use their hands to keep the diving blocker off of them.

Yeah run it between the tackles 3x, eat up some clock and/or force the Pat's to burn a TO or two, kick the FG making it a two possession game with around 2 mins to play and it's an almost sure SB win for Atl....absolute choke job by Falcons coaches.

Yep, completely irrational on his part. I could have seen him entering the draft but sitting a year to play one year is baffling.

If true, I am disappointed that once again we will have made a head scratching decision. Fulmer is all Vol but him going R.O.A.D. is the reason we started down this path and he has zero qualifications or experience for the position. Blackburn was a rare opportunity to hire someone on the way up.

Yeah, not as a QB...he lacks the ability to read a D and determine the right receiver....TOO many times I've watched him throw to a double/triple teamed receiver only to notice a receiver on the opposite side, usually far down field, running wide open for a potential TD. His talent is his legs, if he can find a way to use them I could see it possibly.

read a defense in college and in the NFL the game speeds up exponentially. FAR too often he throws to a receiver who is double covered when guys are wide open on the other side of the field. His talent is his legs, I could see him attempting to make it as a WR but never as a QB, he barely completes over 50% in college. Josh is a fighter and gives 100% but he's just not a great QB, just like Tebow who I fell could have made it as FB or TE.
