Not worked up at all about it, because as you say it seems to be a "low level" issue.
My thing, however, is that when the police show up and tell you to turn the music down, you turn the damned music down. Confrontation with police is never a good thing under any circumstances, no matter whether one believes they are doing something wrong or not.

I think UT went with Nike about 15-20 years ago didnt they? I still have some old UT stuff with the logo. Seems like we went from Adidas to Nike to adidas and now back to Nike?
First time with Nike we only wore Nike shoes. The uniforms were made by Sports Belle, a local apparel manufacturer. Then when adidas (little a at the beginning by the way - it's the company trademark) got the contract it was for shoes and uniforms and apparel, but Sports Belle still made most of the uniforms, they just put the adidas logo on them. After the Sports Belle contract expired then adidas began making uniforms and apparel themselves. Now back to Nike for pretty much everything.

Why? Do you think Worldwide Wes will start funneling basketball recruits to Tennessee instead of Kentucky? I don't see that happening. UNC has been a Nike school for years and I hate it but the bottom line and the only thing that really bothers me is that ugly swoosh on every one of my UNC t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, whatever.
Not my point. My point was that one of the reasons I am not jumping with joy over being a Nike school is because of the Nike money influence that has been a large part of the cesspool that AAU basketball has become and its influence in recruiting by buying coaches and, yes, players to certain schools. As is Comcast, Nike is the devil.

So whose death would you say was the worst musical tragedy? Buddy Holly, Big Bopper or Ritchie Valens? I'd say Buddy Holly but I saw the movie "La Bamba" and it sort of implied that Valens' death was the worst musical tragedy since the untimely death of Mozart.
Holly without question. Valens was very talented, but Holly was an musical innovator. The Big Bopper had a gimmick.

My biggest issue with Nike is what they have done with AAU basketball that has made college basketball recruiting such a cesspool of corruption. I don't really have any issues with the products the produce, other than that their shoes don't fit me very well. adidas and Asics are pretty much what I have to stay with since I can't find Pro Keds like I used to wear when I was young.

Memphis isn't much better.
Yeah, I know. Trying not to dog our own state, even if it is Memphis. At least Memphis has some decent barbecue places and good music venues. Dreamland is one of the most over rated eateries I have ever visited. It tastes no better than the frozen stuff they sell at grocery stores now.

I've always thought it to be the nastiest city in the South.
Actually, Birmingham is the second nastiest city in the South, right behind Montgomery and slightly ahead of Jackson, Mississippi.

And an addendum: Living in Birmingham isn't much different from living in Tuscaloosa from that perspective. I'd choose Tuscaloosa. Birmingham is a filthy poorly governed and nasty city.

He doesn't have to. Birmingham has some nice areas he can live in. Saban doesn't live in Tuscaloosa
Saban doesn't live in Birmingham, either. He lives just South of Tuscaloosa. A young man who played for Saban whom I know very well showed me Saban's house when I was in Tuscaloosa last year. I am talking about the Alabama culture. It took Pearl a while to adjust to the culture of Knoxville, and it's not nearly as Dixie as is Tuscaloosa. And I don't see Pearl going to a place that has another coach who is worshiped and revered like the Alabama wackos do Saban. Just don't see it happening.

Hooah, Dom! ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif) Fort Lewis is a long way out there, but just about everybody I have talked to who has been posted there loved it. Happy for your nephew, and your entire family, TRO. My son still doesn't know where he is going to be when Career School wraps up in mid-March at this point. He turned in his list a couple of weeks ago, but in today's Army just don't know where you'll end up. Again, congrats to Dom, and thanks for your service.

Yep. He's an amazing shotmaker though. His ability to hit high-degree-of-difficulty threes reminds me of Chris Lofton, though virtually everything else about him (selfishness and lack of character, in particular) is the opposite of C-Lo.
It's a hoot watching Henderson try to play defense, however. He pretty much just runs around flailing his arms up and down. Pretty funny.

You have buy wine in liquor stores in TN? Are there no wine shops?
I can't believe any state could be more backward than SC when it comes to alcohol.
Yep. Only beer is available in grocery stores. And stores that sell liquor and wine (we call them package stores) can't sell beer or food. And package stores can't be open on Sunday. Whenever I go to a state where wine is sold in grocery stores I usually load up with several cases of wine. It's generally much less costly in those states. In fact, sometimes I feel like Junior Johnson back in his pre-NASCAR days coming over the state line.
