It looked to me like it was filmed around FT Carson, but even so, the terrain is incredible similar to eastern Afghanistan. There were a couple of shots that made me believe that is WAS filmed in Afghanistan. The dense forest areas of the Dewegal and Korengal valleys look remarkable similar
Obviously you'd know better than me, I was judging it based on the description given in the book where Marcus said when they saw the lack of vegatation they all had a bad feeling because concealment was going to be difficult.
the Poshtunwali Code is incredible. If you are accepted as their guest, the will give to you what ever they have and will protect you with their life. We know nothing of hospitality in comparison.
I appreciated getting to see Gulab and Marcus together at the end of the film. I despised the lack of respect the bad guys had for Gulab practicing his faith. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

everyone who is gay would announce themselves all on the same day and get it over with, since it appears they must tell us because of course we need to know every detail of their lives or our lives will not be complete, the trickling of the "news" has become annoying IMO. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

I saw it opening day and I had trouble getting into it because I kept recalling the book, that and the fact that the scenery appeared more like the Rockies than the Hindu Kush. I'm anxious to see it again on DVD and see if I can filter out most of my issues better. I really appreciated the tribute at the end...I know Marcus did. If anyone hasn't read the book, do it....it's unbelievable what they went through and the courage of Gulab in the face of the real prospect of his entire village being annihilated. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

that he'd be subject to what he inflicted, at least as closely as possible. Years sitting in a cell, getting a free education, free healthcare, all on the tax payers dime is insane....give 'em their appeals in a timely fashion and then let them die in the same fashion in which they killed their victims (as closely as possible).

accomplished all that he has and owns the records that he owns is questioned at all. I once argued with a guy, this was before his SB victory, who said he wasn't an elite QB because he never won a NC or a SB. I asked if he realized that it is a team sport and the QB is only one of 22 positions on that team, it didn't change his opinion at all, the QB was responsible. So I asked him if he considered Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams elite QBs over the likes of Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino and Peyton and he said yes....I told him he was a stubborn idiot and left. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

The team that usually gets every break blew it with ONE SECOND TO GO. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Patriot teams were much better than the Colts teams Peyton played on...I think QBs get unfairly judged by record when some great QBs played on really bad teams. I had a guy try to tell me that Manning was not an elite QB because, at the time, he had not won a SB and in college he never won a NC. I asked him, if he considered the likes of Doug Williams and Trent Dilfer to be better QBs than Manning, Fouts, Marino because they had won SBs and he said yes. I don't think any NFL coach would take Williams or Dilfer over the other three. I think you have to have a great QB to be a great team, especially a dynasty like the Pat's were, but a great QB can't make a mediocre team a SB champ. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

Sounds pretty similar to what I'm being offered. Once I built enough in the account to cover the deductible, it sounds like it would be great.
It was pretty much a wash for us with the knowns calculated, but with the traditional plan there was no potential for additional savings while with the HSA plan there are several that's basically what determined it for me.

$2600 decrease in premiums accounts for most of the deductible, the company puts $750 in the HSA which, coupled with the premium reduction, makes up the deductible plus some and as you mentioned the tax advantages of contributing pre-tax to the HSA makes more sense for us plus once you meet the deductible it's 90/10 coverage. We also have a FSA for dental and vision. It's never going to be as good as it was 10 yrs ago thanks to O'care. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)

maddening aspect is how we can't even make shots taken right UNDER THE BASKET! ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/crazy.gif) Many times we don't even hit the frigging rim???? It's like they have no control of their muscles and nerves and their brain tells them "shoot" and their arm just makes an involuntary movement and the ball flies over the rim where the opponent rebounds it and gets a quick easy score on the other end. It's maddening. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/patriot.gif)
