Dobb has been on campus for 3 years and his throwing has improved very little of that time, IMO. I don't see that changing much next year unless he gets much better QB coaching...which is also another problem. Unless Dobbs is running 10-15 times per game he's a below average D1 QB.
I like him....he's the kind you like to have on your team. I've said it before....I just don't see us winning big with him at QB

Remember when it was trendy to drop those tablets in your commode that turned the water blue? And remember when you took a bowel movement, and your feces combined with that water would look sorta yellow? THAT'S what that game looked like. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/hurl.gif) Yes I remember the tablets.....I wouldn't have admitted the other ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/1laugh.gif)

You can keep a field green all year just like they keep golf courses green all year...Being on a football staff for 30 years I spent a lot of time maintaining game and practice fields. The issue that the field is in bad shape because Butch wants a green field all year long doesn't hold water...Our field along with most D1 fields are green all year.
When you re-sod Bermuda it takes 2 growing seasons to get a good established root base. The field was re-sodded in June....which only allowed about 2 1/2 months of good growing weather....Bermuda growth slows down a lot about mid August. And if and fact what I've read is true that they aerated the field in August....the person or persons that ordered it to be aerated in August should be shot.....then dipped in a outdoor toilet and then shot again for stinking.
IMO, there were some bad decisions made up and down the line....but also re-sodding and playing on it 3 months later can cause major issues.

I heard Sir Charles Barkley on Mike & Mike this morning.....He said I don't do this multi-media crap like twitter, etc.....He said those things are for losers and the only way they can get noticed and feel like a winner in life is to do these look at me things such as twitter. LOL

Yep. It all comes down to Saturday. I think if we get past mizzou we easily hold off vandy at home the following week.
This game doesn't have the pop and buzz as a game against a bigger "brand name" opponent might, or if we had a better record and were playing for more, but beating mizzou is huge for crossing some lines in the rebuild of our program. First win against mizzou, ever (which in itself is shameful) , it would set us up to be the clear no. 2 in the East, we would likely hit 8 wins for the first time since 2007, go to the biggest bowl since 2007, close with the best record since 2007, have our best record since 2007. In short, this could be the best season since Fulmer was fired, but if we lose to Mizzou it's only marginally better than last year even if we beat vandy.
The time for marginal improvement is past. We need this year to be a big step, and next year to be just as big or bigger.
+1......Couldn't agree more.

This situation doesn't make a bit of sense. You have an expert on growing this type of grass, another expert that actually used to grow the grass and neitiher are consulted.
Who is running things there? Does someone have something to hide?
Agree....something odd about all this.

Punter being out for extended minutes with cramps most likely cost us the game.....We were up 7 IIRC and he went out and they took the lead. We had problems with cramps the first game too...got to get that corrected. As Herb said missing FTs were the difference too.
That last play was a head-scratcher....mosey down the floor like we had 40 seconds left and then fire up a desperation shot 10 foot behind the arc!!!!! I felt better after the game when Barnes said in his postgame he didn't know what the heck they were doing either....Pretty much said it was set up to drive to the basket and for some reason the players took it upon themselves to do something else. Barnes said they don't listen very well coming out of timeouts.....He said that will be corrected. Barnes pulls no punches I'll say that for him.

9-1 and ranked 8th in the AP poll. Read slowly - that's 9-1 and ranked 8th, going to be in the SEC championship game.
Did I mention that they are 9-1 and ranked 8th?
What in the cowboy hell will it take to "sell" you on him?
If they hadn't lost PED Boy at QB they most likely beat LSU.

Vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry - any SEC offense should have been able to score more than 24 points - considerably more - on North Frickin' Texas State. They are one of the worst football teams in Division 1 - FBS or FCS. There's that attempt at putting lipstick on a pig that I was talking about earlier.
Most SEC 2nd team offenses should be able to put up 24 on that bunch. Again, Portland State scored 66.....I didn't know Portland State had a football team. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/1laugh.gif)

I remember some laughing when Florida made this hire......remember a poster even calling him a clown. That clown just won the East and has done a good job of smoke and mirrors on offense since he lost his starting QB. I knew when Florida hired him they had made a good hire and said so at the time.
IMO, Florida will be the team to beat in the East the next few years.....after this season winning the East when most were saying they would be lucky to win 6 games they will not have any trouble recruiting at a high level.
Mac is a darn good football coach...Period

Yep. Quarterback play across the board in the SEC right now is about as bad as I ever remember. I'm not even sure that Prescott is legit. Spread offenses have ruined QB play. Gone are the days of a strong armed guy back there who is there to read defenses and get his team in the correct play. Now it's about putting an "athlete" back there, making sure he can get the team to the line in 16 seconds after the previous play ends, and giving him an opportunity to make one read and then go.
Offensive football has evolved, and I am not so sure it has evolved for the better.
It's why I call it X-Box football.
