I blame the maker of the rule more than I do the refs that are asked to enforce it.  By letter of the law, that was helmet to helmet.  It's bs, I know.. but it's unfortunately the rule.

I'm with you on that call. Replay clearly showed no penalty and that the official who made the call was out of position to see the play, standing behind the tejas player. My son got his master's from A&M and 10/1 married a Texas beauty who got her undergrad at tejas. I feel for the boy after that loss.
