Senior linebacker from the Vols!!! Love it, love it, love it. This is true passion and loyalty for struggling program.

"I don't think Tennessee's going to go through the kind of stuff that I had to go through when I was here, and I hope it doesn't," Johnson said. "This program is on the rise. They've got some bright futures and this team is going to be extremely good next year and I wish them the best of luck.

"I would never change anything and I would come back here in a heartbeat."

Love it but I also wonder how a senior middle linebacker has zero solo tackles on a day when the opposition ran the ball 80% of the time.

I don't mean to use your post as a place to go off on a rant but since his name came up I think guys like Austin Johnson and Tauren Poole were just as much at fault for their comments after the game towards underclassmen as the underclassmen were. Tauren Poole and Austin Johnson were not leaders of this football team. That's a big part of the issue IMO. I've been thinking about this for a couple of days and I read this morning that Erik Ainge talked about this on his show today... This team is devoid of upperclassmen leaders. There are a bunch of freshmen and sophomores running the show. There is nobody there who has the ability to stand up and take control of the locker room.

This is one of the problems that Fulmer always had. He wanted the players to run the show. Without the discipline of Cutcliffe, he had to have great leaders to have good teams. Unfortunately I think Dooley shares that fault with Fulmer. Dooley's teams are going to need strong upperclassmen who will handle the locker room and when a great young player gets too big for his britches they will handle it internally rather than take it to Twitter after the last game of a horrible season.

No biggie point well taken. There are no Al Wilson's on this team and don't see any soon.

I also think former players need to exercise some restraint when expressing their disapproval of DD.  It is their right, but they are certainly not promoting the success of the school they supposedly love.

Agree 100%. Maybe even more than 100%.

And we've heard that same spiel from the past 8-9 outgoing senior classes.  At some point, maybe one of these classes will take some ownership while it still matters.
