Since freshman yr in highschool, and then I was pretty much a tackling dummy Here is my question: why is a position like WR so "complex" for freshmen to contribute early and often?  How many patterns are there? Down & out, down & in, curl, post, go route, slant. What am I missing? Is it blocking assignments? Adjustments to coverage? I have faith Croom, ZRogers, Blanc, Bowles, and Howard are going to get the job done! GBO!

You go left, you go right, you go straight! Necessity has created many great ball players!

I think it is difficult for a freshman to read the defense and be on the same page as the QB as which direction to go..............inside, outside, break off the route ETC.  Usually results in INT's and passes that look like they are to no one.

I know. Still Crooms sheer size, if accurate, creates problems for defenses. Blanc ain't no little dude. Bowles is tough. Slot by committee!

Of course this assumes Patterson & Hunter are for real & back to form... I'm ready for some football! ;-)
