One (of the many, I'm sure) reasons my Mother hated bammers so much was because when she and Dad attended an Iron Bowl game at Legion in the med-fifties and she was cheering a great play by Shug's Tigers when a bammer, ahem, female fan decided she needed to pull my Mother's hair from behind! She wouldn't ever tell us how she responded, but she grew up with 3 older brothers and I'll bet that bammer never did that again!
You know, bammers could find themselves tolerable if they had some sembelence of f'n humility! Best I recall, Shug had a winning record aginst the "bar".
