I think we played them in a bowl game in Jersey back in the 80's, returned a fumble 99 yds for a td.

Btw, it was Darren Miller who returned the intercepted fumble 99 yards for a score. I can still hear John Ward's voice on that call but, sadly, there doesn't seem to be a YouTube video.

Yep, I remember it from some "Vols Greatest Hits" video and it had one of Ward's iconic calls.

We lost to them in the '82 Peach Bowl. I vaguely remember not converting a 4th and short late in the game which killed a go ahead scoring drive.

The slowest TD in football history. Picked up the ball just before the end of the first quarter and finished midway through the second. Of course he had to run almost the entire distance twice since they changed ends after the horn sounded.

Yeah, I went to that game with my Dad. IT was in the old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and it was miserably cold. Iowa jumped out to a big lead and we came back. I think the final score was something like 28 or 29 to 22.

Reading a little about this year's Iowa team, they're not particularly great on either side. Slow big 10 team that has issues with teams that run the zone read (like UT). We will out speed them, but to win we need some guys back healthy.

Statistically we rank about 20 spots higher than them both offensively and defensively when adjusted for schedule. They played an exceptionally weak schedule, with their best win being over a 6-6 Pitt team. They did play Wisconsin and Nebraska tight at the end of the year, both at home.
Ken Massey says we are 63% favorites to win.

Well, they do grow some good corn in Iowa and they hold some pretty important caucuses there, too.
