...that I'm seeing around various Vol sites:

Many of the people who are saying Hurd's a quitter, good riddance, we're better off without him, etc., are the same ones who want Bobby Petrino as our next coach.

You can't make this stuff up.

I guess my question is what part of transferring is not quitting. Is he playing the rest of the season? Sounds like he quit. The big question is why?

Uh, that's the point.  He DID quit.  And if you want Petrino, you want a guy who has done the exact same thing, repeatedly, everywhere he's ever worked.

Most coaches quit...and take other jobs. Saban quit on Michigan State...then he quit on LSU....then he quit on the Dolphins.
