...waited until our game had ended yesterday to announce that Smart and Reid were sitting. Is this true? So if we had won, and they had needed to beat Vandy to win the title outright, those guys would've presumably played?

Pretty sure they announced Friday Smart was not playing and based on what I've read Reid had a injury in the Florida game that was day to day.

I'm pretty sure no announcement on Smart had been made as of yesterday morning, because I was listening to CBB coverage on the way over to Auburn, and they would've said something. Reid's "injury"? I don't buy it. And in hindsight, Waters' "illness" last week looks suspect as well. Maybe they landed on a helmet.

You are correct...Smart was yesterday. It was Friday that I read on the LSU board that Reid was day to day with a injury from the FL game....But like you said he might have fallen on a helmet in the locker room.
