It was the covid year. That game was postponed from earlier in the season and moved to the very end, extending that miserable season by a week when we were all ready to put it behind us and move on to basketball. They smoked us. And to top it all off, the news of Pruitt's cheating broke during the game. That was as depressing a UT game as I can remember. Happy we were able to get that horrible taste out of our mouths today.

Speaking of that time, Finebaum interviewed Donde Ploughman Friday and they talked about her response. She said it was the right thing to do and for her "the only choice" Paul replied that she "had integrity which never happens in today's college athletics. And amazingly it worked out." It was a great interview. I am very happy with Dondes leadership...the University had a bad run of "leaders" prior to her.

Damn, I had forgotten about that season. Must have been the Covid. I tend to remember games long after we play them, there are about a half dozen that season I can't recall. I think any Vol fan has blocked that season out, lol.

I remember it very well. And let me tell you this nugget about that day. Mine and Dads seats for that game were upper deck, close to the South side of the East Skybox. Like you said, it was a miserable game on the field so my eyes wandered and early in the game I see, clear as day, Phil Fulmer parking his butt in the seat of a skybox seat right at the window. He stood up at some point and turned in a way that allowed me to be sure it was him. I actually went back on my phone and found the pic I took that day! Check it out: Around the time the news of the recruiting violations broke, I kid you not he disappeared and never came back. True story!

Surprised PF would come and mingle with the plebs on the East side. I wonder if the bigwigs on the West side knew what was about to go down and told him, ?Sorry coach, no room. We?re social distancing over here. You understand.?
