According to this, he could still be back by the end of the season. But this is the same surgery that Tillman had last year, and he wasn?t even close to the same player when he returned.

Of course with Bowers being a sure fire first rounder (at least before he got hurt), he might just make a business decision and shut it down.

I hate this for the young man. High ankles are no joke, and I am a bit dubious of the surgery after Tillman's experience last year.

I hate to see any athletes injured. Tough break for him. He is a special athlete.

Doesn't sound official yet.  3-6 weeks is right.  This guy reported that he is "likely" out.  So maybe it is just his guess.  I do agree Bowers may opt out to get ready for the draft.

It was reported by ESPN yesterday that he is out for the season.  Hate it for him.

Don't hate it for kirby or the dawg though, that guy is like half their offense.
