Looks like the Aggies aren't concerned about 'Who we gonna get'...Never understood that being a concern or excuse.

Pruitt, Jones, Kiffin, and especially DOOLEY...would be some pretty strong evidence it DOES matter, and critically.

And ironically, Fisher got the extension because LSU fired Miles to "get Fisher" supposedly.  That could all be agent smoke and mirrors, but firings should be made with that in mind.

Regardless, it is insane that they are going to pay that doofus $76 million to do nothing. Although I suspect Fisher will not act like Butch Jones and be essentially a GA at Texas and thumb his nose at Tamu for 7 years or however long is left on the contract.

Let's see if it goes through...very tough spot for them.  There will be the usual chaos associated with a coaching change, and then who knows, all as their no. 1 rival comes into the league.

My guess is they go after Lane.

Final thought...they really need to fire their AD! If they have not already. His lack of nerves and negotiating moxie caused this problem.  Period, dot.

You don't fire until you have a plan....We had dumb ass leadership that didn't read that book....Did Texas say that when they hired Shark...what about OSU....UGA...Florida State....Oregon...etc.? It's a cop out.

An Arkansas friend joked the Hogs should get Jimbo for a couple of million a year.

They probably don't want him though

Fair enough. It sounded like you were saying you don't need a plan, just fire him. Which would be stupid.

I would expect they have a plan.

I do think that they need to cashier the AD that set this all up though.

Doesn't mean it isn stupid

I watched the presser. The AD said different financial structures are coming. Afterwards the SECN talking heads said "in 3 years, $78 million might buy a roster".

IMO none of this is going anywhere good
