Now the pressure is on UT.

3 of the top 4 pitchers are burned
Their starter today could pitch tomorrow as he barely lasted an inning
Their starter yesterday is toast and their spot starter and other main relief pitcher have pitched a LOT (their spot starter was poitching the 9th today) of pitches both days
Probably their 5th or 6th best pitcher went a lot of pitches today
We have a bunch of arms well rested or marginally used to go with tomorrow
Tomorrow we go Zander, Combs, Loy and then the pen
The first 3 should get us through 6, maybe 7
Who they go with? Unknown
The good news for them is the rest of the pen is rested
The bad news is they have a high ERA and apparently little confidence in them by Wes
Tony said after the game that CMO would play 2nd tomorrow.
He looked to be laboring with the bad wheel today, not getting his usual drive at the plate
He was limping in unguarded moments but on a "wild pitch" that went maybe 2 inches away from the catcher he took 3rd in the 9th
Cal took a hard shot in the mask
2-3 times after that the home plate ump checked on him
The interchange between Cal and CMO after Cal rifled a foul back at CMO was funny
A lot of gestures back and forth with smiles on their faces
Tomorrow the crew chief is behind the plate
Edited to flea this from TOS:Deverman - 89 (Fri) - Their best pitcher and a true FR
Harris - 44 (Fri), 24 (Sat)
Schultz - 49 (Sat) - starter today, 2nd best pitcher for them
Meyer - 13 (Fri), 57 (Sat)
Hansmann - 24 (Sat)
Smith - 52 (Sat) - looked worn out at the end today
They have two guys who threw over 30 IP this year that haven?t thrown yet this weekend:
LHP Kevin Reed -
7.38 ERARHP Drew Fieger -
7.65 ERAboth have over .
300 BAA. Pretty clear they don?t really trust either or they would?ve pitched today. You might see one of them open to try to steal a few outs though.
