This is what the original NIL lawsuits were all about. A player's name, image and likeness could be sold by the NCAA while the players were in school and even after they had graduated.

Because the NCAA and EA wouldn't pay, all hell broke loose. And we have what we have today.

Why?  Seems like a logical way to divvy up the money.
