On the TD, we told them exactly where we were going
They had no answer

Thomas is far better than I thought he'd be.

As our resident negative Nellie, the risk of someone getting injured on that drive isn't worth the reward of learning to start fast.

Our injured players need to get back ASAP.

The subs ain't cutting it. Especially in the secondary.

Boo looks horrific

Saw him yanked on one of UABs easy completions and got a resulting earful from Martinez.

Gave up 394 yards to UAB....and they only had 23 yards rushing.

Looks like we are gong to have to outscore all our SEC foes. Doesn't bode well in the long run.  We are 0 for 1 in that so far.

I'm good with new guys learning even if it skews stats. Better to mess up against UAB than a game that matters

Are we the only team out of 136 teams all year that has played backups and dirt chunkers in blowouts? And some teams have played 2 also ran teams already. Tennessee should never be ranked 132nd out of 136 teams even if they played the team Chaplin...popcorn vendor....ticket taker on our backend. What is gonna be our excuses if the injured players are out several weeks or longer? Unless something happens SEC QBs are going to pick our defense apart.

For pretty much 8 out 12 quarters...yes pretty much our starters. 132 out of 136. UT isn't the only team that's played backups... Now...back to your excuses.

I am specifically addressing your bitching about UAB.  In the first half, I saw an excellent D effort against an awful team.  If the 3rd string subs did worse then so be it and I chalk it up to learning.  Like we use to do.  This coaching staff and this team are making strides.  It's fun to be a fan again.

Why don't you just enjoy the ride?

Hummingbirds and butterflies....Keep your head in the sand. You best hope the defense gets much better or your ride will get real bumpy.

What would you like to see happen to resolve our deficiencies?  Honestly curious.   Think we need a new DC?

Not a fan of Banks....one good defense out of 5 isn't setting the woods on fire. He doesn't adjust well and it's known he doesn't recruit well. He's the safeties coach and when have we had above average safeties since he's been here? Add slow as get out on top of it at safety that he's responsible for...This coming from one of the top paid coordinator's in the country. Last years defense was good because of the DL that he doesn't coach...We got after the QB...had good rushers and was very good against the run due to our DL and depth there..... Why in year 5 are we average to below average at linebackers?..and pretty much have been every year. Went you are one of the top paid DC in the country in year 5 you shouldn't be 132nd out of 136 in pass defense and over 100 in defense.
