All three outdoor thermistors are not in the sun and under cover. It is officially hot and humid today in West Knoxville.

Our high yesterday was 108.  Right now we're at a relatively frigid 105.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

According to thermistors on back porch, it topped out at 103.5°F at 3:56 PM on Saturday.  105°F at the airport to 103°F in Cedar Bluff.  All I know is it was dang hot!!!  Supposed to cool down to 101°F Sunday.  Well break out the sweaters!

As is almost always the case, we have an advantage by living on the higher elevations of the Cumberland Plateau. It was a crisp 102 here Friday and only 100 yesterday.

Of course, once you get past 100, I'm not sure there is much difference. Those were our first 100+ degree days since 1980, and only the fourth and fifth days in recorded history with 100+ temps here on the northern plateau.

Officially 109 in Columbia, SC yesterday. Wish the Boss would add a melting down icon. Till then, I'm putting up the icon to remind you to drink lots of fluids.
