If drinking a glass of wine and having a cigar makes one a scourge to society, then here's to all us scourges. Eat, drink, be merry.

Yeah, that one left me shaking my head, too, Stogie.  Save us from all of the good people.

Not much better than a glass of good red wine and a fine premium cigar on the deck after dinner, as far as I am concerned.  But I guess that makes me a drunken reprobate in some people's minds.

LOL!  I was just joking about turning into a nation of drunks.  But I do know that when I walk into Krogers or Publix (not to mention the local convenience store, which is HALF wine  ) now there are huge sections dedicated to wine.  Then as you walk through the store, there is are so-called "impulse buyer" displays of wine in at least 3-4 different sections, stuck in places like the toothpaste section or whatever, and I'm like WTF?

The obvious conclusion to draw is that wine sales are soaring and that it's pretty profitable.  Why so many more people are buying wine, I have no idea.   But it's very noticeable, that's for sure.

It's not something that appeals to me...I pretty much stick to beer and whiskey.  But to each their own, I guess.
