... but I saw this on twitter... UT has played 3 ranked SEC teams and punted 3 times. I've always been a fan of Defense... however... if you score every time you get the ball... The best defense is a good offense. (YES: we still need to do something about our secondary but that's a good stat).

Every time I watch our offense play, I'm impressed all over again. Think about how easily we moved the ball against Florida, LSU and Alabama. Almost at will against three of the SEC's traditional powers. Sure, all three have had better defenses in the past. But all three are still solid. And we gained 576 yards against Florida, 502 yards against LSU, and 567 yards against Alabama. I'd wager a bet that has never happened in the history of this program.

Right now I just assume we’re going to score on every offensive possession. I also assume the same of our opponents (at least the good ones). Which means that any defensive stop we get is as good as a TD in our favor, and vice versa. It’s a pretty stressful way to watch a game, but it’s been entertaining as hell so far.

I gurantee we have never been close to that, by a mile.

Shoot me in the head for even saying this, but it’s almost like UT hired a much younger (and non douchebaggie) version of Spurrier. You just know we’re going to score

Don't jinx it. If the offense has an off day, which they haven't yet, do you think this defense can save the day? I just ain't to confident they could.

They HAD an off day, at Pitt
But I saw, in person, how they fought through that to score a TD in OT to win the game
BTW, the defense played their asses off in that game
It's called complimentary football.
(As an aside, the moron coach who used that phrase repeatedly was fizzleing clueless what it means)

It’s incredible how many wide open receivers there are everywhere.  On top of all the big plays, think of the wide open guys they just barely missed.  LSU game could’ve been worse.  I think if we score coming out of the half vs Bama, we keep most of the momentum and this game would’ve been worse too.

I think Hooker has lapses in footwork at times, leads to the types of passes at Pitt and the 3rd quarter Sat night

I just hope the UGa defense doesn't make them have an off day. If not, we will outscore them too.

Uga D not what it was last year, and this offense is inifinitely better than they were at uga last year (they were actually pretty good then, but so much better this year)

another fun tidbit...check out the SEC in 60 minutes show, uga is the second game on it, and count how many times their ole "Heisman candidate" Steston Bennet gets hit.  By Vandy.

Talking heads have been saying ad naseum that Bryce Young was the only thing keeping bammer in the game.  I don't always agree with talking heads, but they absolutely are right.

They say Defense wins championships. Would we have enough for a playoff team like the Buckeyes. Damn, it's still nice to even be thinking it ain't it?

I'm all for slowing down expectations and this defense does that. They are getting better and those four or five men (DBs) nursing boo boos are going to get healed up. Low and behold... we will have a rotation.

I give props to Rodney Garner, he is not just a good recruiter.  He has 10-12 DL rotating, and I heard on Knoxville talk radio last week he said that its deliberate because he knows our offense wears them out with the fast play.

We need to hold on to him this time around, DL play is stellar IMO  Back up the truck!
