Maybe not.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/peyton-never-forgot-that-an-old-texas-coach-slighted-peyton-manning-and-it-s-going-to-end-up-costing-the-longhorns/ar-AA1Lvxso?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=04d40db058c64c85b1e0764ab033455e&ei=29

That situation is similar to a story that South Carolina fans tell me about Todd Gurley. As the story goes, Todd Gurley arrives at South Carolina for his official visit. However, Steve Spurrier, the SC head football coach isn't there to greet him. In fact, Spurrier doesn't meet with Gurly at all. And, as we know, Gurley goes to UGA.

I have no idea if that story is true. It's common knowledge that Spurrier hated recruiting. But Gurley may have gone to UGA anyway.

But it's a good story. And I don't mind repeating it.

I'm just hoping our more zealous fans don't act too weird around the kid. That might not be a selling point.

Or perhaps he's not a football nut. That's fine too.
