…that every bowl is now owned/televised by ABC/ESPN, except for the Sun Bowl. CBS was like, “Oh, you wanna take the ACC#5/P12#3 away from us?! OH HELL NO. We will plant our flag in the fertile soil of El Paso, and we will DIE on that hill. FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS, MF’ERS!

It really sux b/c there broadcast resources are spread so fizzleing thin.  I think some of these bowl games have about 2 cameras in place and they have to hire Pee Wee Herman to call the game.  THis fizzleing suxes.

It's actually more pronounced in hoops. Exhibit A: that team that called our game at Ole Miss the other night. I would've preferred Kessling.

At least we'll get the varsity for tonight's game. One of the underappreciated perks of playing in a NY6 Bowl.

Bowl games just aren’t what they used to be, imo. There are many factors: the CFP, opt outs, and ESPN coverage to name a few.

There’s talk of revamping of the non-playoff bowls, though. Hopefully it will improve these bowls for the future.

I just hate what they've done to New Year's Day. It used to be one of my top 2-3 favorite days of the year. There were like 10 bowl games in total, 3-4 going on concurrently at any given time. No more. I wouldn't mind seeing a handful of the better non-NY6 games being moved back to 1/1.

New Year’s Day is different, for sure… but don’t you kind of enjoy having the games spread out and thus more days to have football to watch?

I can see the appeal both ways.

I think there were 5 bowl games on New Year's Day last season, and I think that is plenty. I'm ok with the others being spread out a little.

The January 1st Sunday screws up the bowl schedule quite a bit.
