Very sad indeed. I do understand that the pilot was an 82-year-old former state senator though. With the history they have at OSU, I am not sure that as AD or President I would have approved this guy flying.

To be clear, no one is saying this was due to pilot error, although the FAA will investigate and they may well say it was.

I am definitely saying "bad idea" whether the pilot was at fault or not.
