Lance Thompson is promoted and is able to habg on to a few of our recruits but we lose some big names.  We have a 6 win season next year and Hart cleans house, and we start this awful process all over again.

If you don't fire Dooley for the abortion of a season we just had, then you certainly don't fire him for losing a couple coaches who also contributed to that season.  But he does need to know that next season is his last chance, and if he wants to keep his job, he'll hire whomever is necessary to make it work.  And to that end, Hart can support him by giving him a blank check to make these hires.  If Dooley decides he wants to hire Bill Belichick as his new DC, then Hart had damn well better be prepared to sign off on that $10M salary, or whatever it would take.

Option A is the most likely, but option B would send a clear message. Option C isn't really an option and I shouldn't have even put it up there because the caliber of coach we would HAVE to have would hire his own staff. Option D really isn't fair at this point, no matter what the writing on the wall is.
