This is an interesting question to me....is this year's UK team more talented than the Michigan "Fab Five"?  It seems to me that they are.  If for no other reason than this team is a blend of players from two classes while the Fab Five were all in the same class.

I would have to reluctantly conclude that this year's UK team is in the same class as the Fab Five (but better at calling Timeouts, lol).  Based on results, this year's team is better.  Anthony Davis will be the no. 1 pick, and Chris Webber was in 1993.

Here are the rankings of the Fab Five:

Chris Webber was ranked #1, Juwan Howard was ranked #3, Jalen Rose was ranked #6, Jimmy King was ranked #9, and Ray Jackson was ranked #84.

As for Kentucky's starters this year, here are their rankings:

Lamb -#3 sg in 2010
Jones - #2 PF in 2010
Kidd_Gilchrist - # 1 SF
Davis - #1 PF
Teague - #1 PG

It's not apples to apples, but I am going to go ahead and give the nod to UK.  Ray Jackson was a bit of a weak link, I guess.

So this UK team may be the greatest to ever vacate a title.

Because it is almost certainly coming.
