I had read in one of my car magazines that he was ailing. He put his name on some great cars.

I read on some article that he raced in the 1950's with nitro pills under his tongue. He also had a heart transplant quite a few years ago.

Oh man, sorry to hear that.  I just bought a 2012 Mustang in September (though not a Shelby).

Have you heard of the Shelby 1000?  A STREET LEGAL 1000-hp car.     They say it was intended as a tribute to Shelby himself...I am glad they at least got the prototype built before he died.

I drool at the thought.  And they start at only about $200,000 without any options.  What a deal!

I know what I spent on my 6-cylinder coupe.  To keep the percentage of my annual income that I spent constant, I need to start making about 10x what I make now.  I guess I better get busy.
