We lost a bass player most excellent with his passing

For those that just know him from the Blues Brothers, check out Booker T. and the MGs

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

I went to high school with his niece.  She loved to visit him. He told her if she ever got in trouble at home or when she graduated, she could come to live at his house as long as she needed to.  She said he was a just a normal guy even though he was a phenomenal bass player. RIP
