I also hope the players feel snubbed too and take that back to the team. Anything to help get an edge.

The only question I have is who's Dennis Dodd? It's like Finebaum and Climer had a love child delivered by Lee Corso.

He's been around for a long, long time. Never had much good to say against UT.

He was one of those who jumped on the Linda Bensil-Myers/Drake Group thing back around 2002. He never really got over the fact that there wasn't anything to it, and he has let his bitterness continue.

If there was a list of people whose opinions about the relevance (or lack there of) of UT football I cared about, Dennis Dodd would be towards the bottom.

OTOH, he's right. Tennessee football just isn't a good storyline right now. The only way to change that is to go out and win the SEC East this year.

Taters gonna tate anyway. A football program turning it around is always a good storyline. Let them slobber up to the big boys & maybe this team can make their OWN headlines.

While Dodd was brusque, he didn't say anything false. But I agree that I hope that stuff is motivational to our team. It ought to be.
