Didn't even think about it, reach out for the orange shirt. One quarter doesn't impact my support.

yes I can. All the whining and moaning on this board in the last week is based on the 4th quarter, not to to mention preconceived opinions that no on the field performance this year could change in any case. Five (5) minutes into the fourth quarter we were still in the game, that is a FACT.

Didn't even think about it, reach out for the orange shirt. One quarter doesn't impact my support. It's not about one quarter for most people... it's a culmination of the last 3-5 years and it reached it's peak last Saturday because we ALL expected to win and to turn and watch your team give the game away and give up and quit when they got down, it makes it hard to be emotionally invested in this team when time after time they let you down. I know for myself I drove there expecting to win and invested way too much emotion and refuse to invest that much more until this team proves to me that they can win a upper echelon SEC game.

I have said it before and I will say it again it all has to do with the just laying down when things got tough. I blame both the coaches and the players equally and until they prove they can improve I have lost confidence in them. Didn't expect tow in the past two years and didn't get this upset about KY last year like many did but this last game was theirs to be had and both the staff and players shizzle the bed when faced with the opportunity. If we had executed we would have won by 2 or 3 scores. I see some improvement but it is past time to win an sec game against someone besides vandy. I will feel better in a couple weeks. Still enjoyed the heck out of the trip though. It was our 1st trip to a big rivalry game and the atmosphere and the stadium was rocking! What can you say about the tailgate that everyone doesn't already know. Emeril puts on a feast! We also got a big kick out of the quartet singing but I don't think I ever heard some of those lyrics on the radio though.

I will just have to disagree with you. The end of that game is just a continuation of what has been happening for the entirety of my adult life. Also, is it really necessary to use words like "whining and moaning" in describing what you perceive from other people? It doesn't seem like that kind of attitude will garner much thought-provoking discussion.

I remember when we were a top 10 team and how we use to laugh at fans who came to the board bragging about moral victories. Winning the first 3 quarter while losing the game is meaningless IMHO. It doesn't matter if you lose it in the first 5 minutes, the middle 5 minutes, or the last 5 minutes, we still lost the game.

No excuse for losing the game, but we have improved from last year and can still turn the season around.
Not many are optimistic that we will, but it will play out one way or the other.
The problem is that last season should have been this season - a solid step on the way back - but injuries and lack of depth killed us last year and we are basically a year behind IMO.
Even though the game was for all purposes over midway through the 4th quarter last Saturday, the season is not.
As for the attitude of the fans, when is the last time we got this upset over a loss to a major traditionally good rival? (Kentucky don't count) 2007 vs. LSU? It sure wasn't 2009 vs. bama, because no one even expected us to be in that game. That's a form of progress, even if it's a painful one.

I got home just now, turned on my TV, and immediately opened my program guide to see what was on tonight. That's when I realized, "hey, it's Saturday, and UT plays Toledo or somebody". That's what it's come to for me- I forgot the Vols were even playing.

I'm drinking the Yuengling Light left over from the tailgate last Saturday. I saved several for the postgame celebration that never happened.
