Maryville will pound Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett on Friday and Alcoa gets to belt Christian Academy of Knoxville.

Ooltewah has a tough road to hoe at Columbia Central this week before they can even think about moving on to Powell or hosting Tennessee High.

Volsboy - Maryville is a 6A playoff school, and Tennessee High a 5A playoff school.  They can't meet  unless it is a regular season game.

don't know where I got Maryville. It did say Tennessee High opponents has better won loss records. Did Powell play a lot of teams with sub 500 records?

Yes.  Powell's district was down this year, but they did handle Knoxville West with ease last Friday, and according to the "experts" around Knoxville, West was going to rip the Panthers a new one.

Didn't work out that way, however.

Tennessee High didn't exactly play a loaded schedule, either.  Half of the teams they played in the regular season were 5-5 or worse.

Powell lost 16 starters from last year's state runners up, but the cupboard wasn't exactly bare.

Tennessee High has had a good run in the playoffs, catching both Boone and Morristown West with some injury issues in road wins.  Can't get past Tennessee High giving up 70 and 76 points respectively in weeks 8 and 9 vs. DB and Science Hill, however.
