I blame the state of the UT Football program mostly on Mike Hamilton. First of all he hired Lane Kiffin. Kiffin isn't the greatest coach either. USC is 7-4 with all that talent. Kiffin screwed UT over by leaving the way he did. Mike Hamilton put all his eggs in the Will Muschamp basket. Muschamp turned UT down but recommended Derek Dooley to Mike Hamilton. Muschamp knew at that time he was going to Florida a year later. He also knew Derek Dooley wasn't a good football coach. Muschamp knew with Dooley at UT he would beat UT's butt every year. So dumbass Mike Hamilton listened to Will Muschamp. UT could have gotten Brian Kelly but instead UT got stuck with Kiffin and Dooley. Kelly has Notre Dame on the cusp of the National Title game if they beat USC this saturday.
No, Kiffin did us a favor when he left. He didn't think he was but he did. We would be waaaaay into the NCAA doghouse with major,major sanctions had he stayed. Leaving was the best thing he ever did here.
