when he left SC, he was Mr Football in the state. Carolina wanted him bad, but he chose UT. When he took the field, he was terrible. Is it coaching (or lack of it)? Do you think he can get better with a better coach?

I was surprised to hear the comments ESPN made about his arm strength as I thought that was one of his weaknesses coming out of high school. He looked like he could work his way into being a good starter given the opportunity.

As trying was his time as a starter was last year I believe it has benefited him. He had a confidence last night when he entered the game. He threw the ball well (I believe he might have had more completions than Bray in only two series). As you noted, I believe that the pick was CPs fault more than his (something Dooley agreed with BTW). I'd have confidence in him as a starter but I think Peterman may be our QB of the future.

I thought he looked sharp in the first half other than the int. Didn't pay as much attention in the second half. I had paused the game and mostly fast-forwarded through it. Just wanted it over with! Almost turned it off, but I have only done that twice in my years of watching the Vols (back to back losses to uga and bammer in 2010).

Only problem with Worley is the lack of game experience. We have Dooley and Chaney to blame for that.

Really? Are you forgetting the games he started last year?

He has shown flashes he can be good. Not really fair to judge him based on last year, he was a Fr and not really ready. This year he hasn't played enough, and the pick he threw wasn't on him, the WR did not help. I have seen enough from him to think that he can be a pretty good QB, and I understand mentally he is tougher than Bray.

Worley may not even be our starter. Most things I read said that Peterman was outplaying him in practice before he got hurt.

In the offseason it was common perception that Dooley was recruiting over Worley with Peterman.

Yep. I think this may be about not burning Peterman's redshirt this late in the year.
