Exactly. Also, they need to leak through a backchannel like Hubbs what the timeline and potential hang-ups are if things are iffy. If it's a done deal there's no need to do so, but as a friend likes to say a lot of life is about managing expectations.
The timeline is expecially key. Simply saying it may take another two weeks would be a start.

I was going to say that I doubt Hart would address any potential candidates by name until he is finished. That's why you won't see official declarations that Petrino and Butch Davis are not being considered, or that Gruden is, and why those rumors will remain. Hart knows there will be rampant speculation, since he's been through this before. It's just part of the game.

Yes, which is why we have every reason to believe that they are pursuing Gruden at full speed and Gruden is listening at least a little. If the truth were anything else, the UTAD would be confirmed idiots for handling it this way. Now whether that means he is/will be our coach or not is of course totally up in the air.

No, from middle of last week. That would put it around this Friday as a deadline

We don't even have sightings of the UT plane. Hubbs said UT has blocked tracking of it's plane numbers. Idk how that's possible, although I wouldn't even know how to track a plan to begin with.

All UT would have to do is sent a note to Flightaware

Very, very easy There were situations in a previous life where I had to coordinate such OTOH, hiding a large white aircraft with United States of America on each side was much more difficult to hide ...

All UT would have to do is make a request under the Block Aircraft Registration Request (BARR) program. The FAA directly accepts and honors new requests from aircraft owners and operators who wish to maintain the privacy of their movements. That program was proposed to be changed, but for security reasons the changes never took effect. If blocked, the flight/N number will not show up on FlightAware.
