He had no chance, but I was more on board with him than the Grudenites are with their guy.
Putting aside the issue of his affair with a hot young chick (and more important the legal issues with the hiring, etc), I am still not that impressed with Petrino. He has never, in his entire career, had a decent defense. It was all offensive fireworks with him, and frankly we had a team like that this season already.
Having said that, even if defense is not his strength, he woulda coulda done better than Dooley on D this year and would certainly be better in the future.
But what I am really saying is I don't think he is in the same class as urban, satan, sos and probably not miles either. IMO.
