Hey all - this is NOT a flame post, OK - I'm frankly surprised though that Kentucky, Arkansas, and especially Auburn, filled their HC positions before UT.  Cal grabbs Dykes today.  NC State .... UT doesn't have the baggage of Auburn, and greater tradition than UK, NCSt, Cal, Purdue, and others.  What in the world is going on up there?

I'm going to wait and see how it pans out before I cast judgement, although I'm getting antsy.

There are unique challenges with the TN job as far as administration goes that I believe is a red flag to potential coaching candidates.

Nobody seems to know anything. My hope is we have just been kept in dark , I mean really in the dark and will be pleased with the hire. However until that happens, if it does, it looks like a complete cluster ----.

Auburn got Malzhan, KY got an assistant, the only one that might worry me is Arky and their guy wasnt on our radar. I find it laughable that a bammer fan is surprised at this. Completely laughable...how's old Richie Rod doing?

LOL - Rich Rod?  Dunno - thought Mal used him masterfully as a smokescreen for Saban .... I think he's broadcasting, or working on cars or somthing.  Oh, no ... he's at Arizona.  My bad

I thought that of the four SEC jobs, the UT opening was the most attractive - and certianly moreso than Purdue, Colorado, NC State, and others - since I'm not on the pulse of "The Hill" - thought I'd post my surprise - nothing more ....

Apples to oranges.  We didn't pursue any of the guys these other schools hired.

We have only made one serious offer, and that was to a guy who appears to be nationally recognized as one of the best, if not the best, candidates to move to the SEC.

Meh.  Not worried at all.
