Ranked 3rd and playing in the Sugar Bowl.  That's an embarrassment.

I know they weren't too excited about playing Louisville, but still- it's the freaking Sugar Bowl.  If UT were in this game, I dare say we'd pack the place, no matter the opponent.  For one thing, we haven't been there in 22 years, so you know our fans would be fired up to go.  But even if we had been there lately, this is one game I think we'd sell out even if we went every other year.  The atmosphere is second to none, and NO is one of the few bowl destinations where you're pretty much guaranteed to have a good time, win or lose.  I was there the last time UT went, and I'd give anything to go back.

The Virginia game?

I was at that one too, though a mere 11 years old.  One of the few bowl games Dad took me to as a kid.  Good times.  I was in awe of N.O.

I also went with my Dad.  Unwrapped the tickets on Christmas morning, and I was so excited I think the whole neighborhood heard my reaction.

Of course, I was 18, which at time was old enough to legally enjoy all of Bourbon Street's vices.   Heck of a game, too.

Yes, it was.

Chant heard when exiting the Superdome: "Don't fizzle With Elvis!"  The UVA "band" (such as they are) brought down the thunder at halftime.

I was there too.  Had just graduated college.  Was a great time!

Yeah, the UVA crowd pissed off a lot of Vols with the half time show and their chants of "it's great, to be, able to read".

Which made the win all that more satisfying.
