Even if it was a marijuana leaf sticker, I don't think that's enough probable cause to believe that someone is possessing drugs. I don't practice in the criminal law field, but it seems to be a pretty flimsy basis for a stop and search.

A minor traffic violation would have been better. Or a made-up one.

Or....it could be a nice made up story....after all, they are o-cry-o st. fans.  Every Patrol unit in Shelby County, (Sheriff and city) and the Highway Patrol are now equipped with audio and video recording devices. Which cannot be accessed (erased) by the patrol officer but, by the supervisors only.

I'm not sure what the big deal is.  They should be used to southerners laying down the law by now.

Yeah, I call BS on this one.  It's not like law enforcement in the Memphis area has no experience in dealing with drugs and drug runners.
