Up by almost 20 now but I have seen waay too many bad passes to make me feel really good.

Absolutely.  Mississippi State is really bad, and especially with their injury problems.  Sometimes those are the worst teams to play in situations like this.  I'm just happy to be up big at the half.  Hopefully we can extend that lead and allow the starters to rest their legs for the last part of the second half.  Going to need everything they've got tomorrow.

I don't think the effort is terrible. Sometimes it's really hard to judge against a team as bad as Mississippi State. Especially a first round tournament game on an unfamiliar floor. Hold the course in the second half and let's move on to Alabama. I agree with Bert Bertlekamp: There's no reason UT cannot win this tournament. Curse be damned.

Well, it's a relief just to survive the first round.  In a lot of years when we have had better teams than this one we haven't even shown up for the first round. 

A win in the SEC tourney for a UT basketball team is a win.
