but I remember some chatter about Faculty Appreciation Day during spring practice. I love this video.

FWIW, Don Bruce is a former colleague of mine from my first stint at UT and is a great guy . . . very serious about his trade and very serious about oversight of UT's athletics and the relationship academics and athletics ought to have. His role with UT athletics now is chairing the UT athletics oversight board as well as representing the UT faculty in SEC and NCAA matters.  This gesture by Butch obviously sent a clear message and I bet Don spoke for a lot of UT faculty in this video.
