how the fan base was almost unanimous in it's feeling that we needed to give Butch time. I think we all pretty much expected to get drilled today. But I can't believe how some of the other boards are already trashing Butch Jones. Simply unbelievable.  |

If they're questioning specifics (as opposed to Butch in general) I'm o.k. with it, but my guess is they're not. There's a reason I don't frequent other boards. Pooled ignorance isn't a thing of beauty.
EDIT: In fairness, I should note it only takes 30 prolific posters to give a board a bad flavor. Ten could probably do it. A vocal minority may not be indicative of the thoughts of thousands.

Wow. That poster isn't missing the Mensa meeting. I have no idea if Butch is THE answer, but I think he's at least a Jim Donnan. He's a serious upgrade even in a worst-case scenario.

I expected UT to get boat-raced today. I didn't expect THIS, per se. I DID expect the fans to turn on Butch if/when it got ugly. Football fandom makes idiots out of people.
