...is the one that could very well wind up starting Saturday vs. Florida (Riley Ferguson). He's certainly the fan favorite -- although I think a big part of that was driven by Butch's fall camp comment about Ferg being the only one who stepped up in the first "live" situation, and the "anybody-but-Worley" mentality kicked in amongst our fans. A buddy went with me to the open practice and he was so fired up about Ferguson that he could hardly contain himself. He watched him warm up and said, "Oh yeah, he's definitely got a bullet for an arm. He'll be the starter, no doubt about it." Then when Ferguson threw an INT on his first pass in a situational drill, he shut up and didn't say anything the rest of the night.

Interestingly, although Ferguson was the lowest-rated by Rivals, he had the most impressive offer list of any of them besides Worley...maybe even better than Worley if you consider quality instead of quantity. He only had 6 offers, but those 6 offers were Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, Louisville, LSU and Michigan.

Dobbs had a ton of offers, including quite a few BCS schools, but the most prestigious programs to offer besides UT were Arkansas, Mississippi State and TCU. Nathan Peterman was the highest-rated by Rivals of any of them, but his offer list only included teams like Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and UConn amongst a bunch of lesser-knowns.

Pretty good recruiters and evaluators of talent at Alabama and LSU. Hopefully they knew what they were doing when they offered Ferg.

(Of course, Worley received offers from Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Stanford and North Carolina, and he's pretty well proven to be a dud.)

Worley was rated lowest by rivals, as a 5.6 3 star.

Ferguson was a 5.7 3 star
