And in spite of the third quarter meltdown they still won by 17. I repeat - VANDERBILT - won 9 games for the second year in a row.

And Alabama wasn't gonna win another national championship, either. Orange glasses tend to cloud our judgment a bit.

Franklin is actively pursuing another job. Would be smart - I doubt he can sustain that at Vandy, and he knows that.

I never said Franklin was a bad coach. And I didn't act like a real punk and delete my account just because I was wrong about bammer. I'd have to be a real p___ to do something like that.

Yet James Franklin hasn't done a good coaching job. Without Tennessee and Florida being down he wouldn't get to nine wins though. Do you disagree?

And don't forget they didn't have to play Auburn, Alabama and LSU. Georgia had a lot of injured players and their mascot had the flu when Vandy played them. Wake Forest's center had nasty cabbage farts and the QB didn't want to go near him, so obviously Vandy didn't deserve that win, and the refs were bought off against Houston. Vandy deserves no credit at all. DidIdothatrite?

What's pretty fizzleing stupid is for one to stick his head in the sand and deny that Franklin's doing a great job to get Vandy to 9 wins for 2 years in a row, whatever the circumstances of who they play or don't play, or which one of their opponents are "down".

I have said repeatedly that Franklin is a good coach. Do you have reading comprehension skills? Apparently so... And my question wasn't for you, it was for HTV, so I am just going to ignore any other thing you have to say. Have a great day!

No, I don't disagree. I said that even with the SEC East being down to win 9 games AT VANDERBILT, coming from where they were just 3 short years ago when Franklin took over, is an impressive feat. The fact is that he beat those teams, along with Georgia. Past Vandy teams wouldn't have done that. Take the blinders and orange colored glasses off for a minute and ponder this: Vanderbilt has won 9 games for the last 2 years. There is just no reasonable and rational way to realistically poo poo that.

LOL! I am not disagreeing at all. Franklin is a good coach. Never said differently. Not really sure why this is even being discussed. But...the fact that I mention Vandy would not get to 9 wins without the rest of the SEC East being down, does NOT mean that I don't think Franklin is not a good coach. It just means that I hate Vandy, and EVEN WITH A GOOD COACH, they don't get to 9 wins without Florida and Tennessee both at their respective lowest points in 40 years and uga mediocre at best. You seem to somehow, in spite of repeated statements that I think Franklin is a good coach, to believe I think he is not. Well I DO.

If he weren't such an asshat from a personality standpoint, and based purely on his coaching ability, yes. But it's hard to say he would have rubbed us all the wrong way had he been coaching somewhere other than Vanderbilt. Let me rephrase that - if he were coaching somewhere else besides the SEC and had done a similar turnaround job with a program that was as bad as Vandy has historically been, then absolutely we should consider him.

Saw him a little while ago on Gameday and he came across pretty well. Of course he wasn't doing a post game presser or on the sideline acting the way he does sometimes. Then listening to 104.5 (Nashville) on the way home a few minutes ago and one caller said as much as we hate Nick Saban if we hired him we would be throwing rose petals at his feet. Probably so.

That is what irritates me the most. I live in the Nashville radio market and hear him on the radio alot.....asshat is accurate. He has now refused to go on certain radio shows here because they made him mad in an interview. Another show wont have him on because he wants to dictate what questions they ask him. He has some sabin in him with how he deals with the media. I hate his dirty stinking guts...and i hope he gets incurable jock itch in his mouth.
