I am stunned. I never did such things in college.

Actually, they were answering noise complaints from other tenants of the apartment complex.  Don't see that the police were in the wrong.

You need to go over to VQ, they seem to have the corner on that particular redirection ...

I remember a time or two when on of my roommates asked the apartment upstairs from us to please lower it a notch or two. We were cool about it, and they were too. No biggie.

We left the cops out of it, and it had to be pretty stinking loud a couple of hours after midnight for us to care. We may have had an incident with a large number of fireworks over an extended period of time one New Year's Eve where we finally dialed it back out of respect for the neighbors.

Point being, 20 year-olds have to learn how to deal with each other, and be a good neighbor. I'm not terribly disturbed when they go through that process at UT or any other school.

Oh good Lord...if you didn't get it I can't help you.

But thanks for reminding me why I rarely come here. I will go back to conversing with folks on Facebook and leave you all to it.

You do understand that this wasn't a student based apartment complex, don't you, and that there were 80-100 people at the party? It wasn't a few people over for a little conversation.

The police asked them to turn the music down, and then they turned it back up.  If they ignored the police, do you really believe that they were going to turn it down because other residents asked them to?

I confess to being unaware of specifics. If the cops were ignored they're (the players) morons. I'll still file this under "really stupid/inebriated", rather than "dangerous". Things like getting a DUI, holding up the Pilot, or texting "time to die" are in the latter categories.

Some running before the sun comes up is definitely called for, even if someone else was controlling the volume on the tunes.

Yeah, this wasn't in the urban (top .1% of the top.1% of the top.1%) LIAR league for sure, or for that matter the St Bobby's school for wayward boys as in they didn't shoot anybody or anything ...

I think Butch should kick them all off the team...unless their teammates vote to keep them.  Hey, it worked for Les Miles.

You know, that might explain his stubborn refusal to pull his starting QB in the NC game against bammer...I guess the team voted against it.
